Customer & Respondent Submission Data
If you publish conversational forms or use Superforms Analytics for conversion tracking, we collect respondent inputs provided during form submission:
- Respondent inputs (e.g., text, options selected, file attachments)
- Submission timestamp and completion duration
- Technical metadata (browser user agent, screen resolution, country-level geographic location)
- IP address (automatically hashed or anonymized for European Union respondents)
This data is used solely to deliver form responses to the form creator and provide workspace analytics. Submission data is strictly protected and only accessible to authorized workspace members.
Use of Data
Superforms uses collected data for various legitimate operational purposes:
- To provide and reliably maintain our Service;
- To notify you about changes to our Service, features, or platform policies;
- To allow you to participate in interactive form features when you choose to do so;
- To provide customer support and technical troubleshooting;
- To gather analysis and telemetry so that we can improve form load speeds and UX;
- To monitor the security and availability of our Service;
- To detect, prevent, and remediate technical bugs, spam submissions, or abuse;
- To fulfill any other purpose for which you provide it;
- To carry out our obligations and enforce our rights arising from contracts between you and us;
- To provide you with notices about your account, subscription renewals, and billing;
- To generate AI form previews and structure suggestions requested by you;
- For any other purpose with your explicit consent.
Retention of Data
We will retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain records to comply with applicable tax and commercial laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements.
Form submission records are retained in accordance with your workspace settings. When a form or workspace is deleted by an authorized administrator, associated submission data is permanently purged from active production databases in accordance with our automated lifecycle routines.
We also retain aggregated Usage Data for internal analytics and system performance optimization. Usage Data is anonymized and generally retained for shorter periods.
Transfer of Data
Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to—and maintained on—cloud infrastructure located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
If you are located outside the United States and choose to provide information to us, please note that we process and store data on secured cloud data centers in compliance with global protection standards.
Superforms takes all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy. No transfer of Personal Data will take place to an organization or country unless there are adequate technical safeguards in place.

When you use Superforms to collect form responses from third parties, you act as the Data Controller, while Superforms acts as the Data Processor:
As a Controller, you are responsible for obtaining valid consent from form respondents, communicating clear purposes, and responding to their privacy requests.
As a Processor, Superforms commits to processing respondent data strictly according to your instructions and maintaining enterprise-grade safeguards.
Your Data Protection Rights under the California Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA)
CalOPPA requires commercial websites collecting personally identifiable information from California consumers to post a conspicuous privacy policy stating what information is collected and with whom it is shared.
In accordance with CalOPPA, we agree that:
- Users can visit our promotional site anonymously;
- Our Privacy Policy link includes the word "Privacy" and is easily located on the footer of our homepage;
- Users will be notified of any privacy policy changes on our Privacy Policy page;

Our Policy on "Do Not Track" Signals: We honor Do Not Track browser header signals. We do not track, plant marketing cookies, or use behavioral advertising when a Do Not Track mechanism is detected.
